چکیده

The current study aims to portray the specific weather patterns associated with hail falls in north-eastern Romania. This was done using multiple records data covering a long period of time (1981–2020). COST733 software enabled us assess objectively atmospheric circulation classification types for middle troposphere (500 hPa) and also ground level (sea pressure) over region. Based on these, we have identified 5 major (MPs) which explain up 85% recorded events In terms wind vector direction speed, driving hailstorm cells, these MPs are represented by two main groups synoptic patterns. first one is characterized weak advective (cut-off lows, north-easterly anticyclonic flow), while second strong (westerly, south-westerly, north-westerly flows). Further, split into 16 combined (CCTs), as indicated at level. Our analysis showed that May June hailstorms determined especially Romania, from August more common extreme events. environment conditions, instability parameters, described series parameters: sea pressure level, 500 hPa geopotential field, 700 vector, precipitation amount continental scale. indicates occurs regional MUCAPE >500 J/kg high shear lower troposphere. results obtained meant become useful tool forecast.

Co-occurrence of Artemisia and Ambrosia pollen seasons against the background of the synoptic situations in Poland

The Asteraceae family is one of the largest families, comprising 67 genera and 264 species in Poland. However, only a few genera, including Artemisia and Ambrosia are potential allergenic sources. The aim of the study was to estimate how often and to what degree Artemisia and Ambrosia pollen seasons co-occur intensifying human health risk, and how synoptic situations influence frequency of days...
